ANN ARBOR—The University of Michigan will host the Fifth Annual Exhibition of Art by Michigan Prisoners, Feb. 8-23, in the Rackham Galleries, 915 E. Washington St., on U-M’s Central Campus. The gallery will be open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The gallery will be closed Sundays. Admission is free. A free public reception at the gallery will be 4-6 p.m. Feb. 8.

The exhibit will feature works in a variety of styles and mediums from approximately 24 prisons and more than 60 artists. The more than 100 works displayed range from charcoal portrait drawings to watercolor landscapes and abstract collages. Most of the works are for sale with proceeds going to the artists.
