Steve Ford to discuss the media’s impact on first families

EVENT: Actor Steve Ford, son of former President Gerald R. Ford, will discuss how first families, especially his, adjust to life under constant media attention.

He has appeared in many television shows and movies, including” When Harry Met Sally” and” Armageddon.” President Ford graduated from U-M in 1935 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Steve Ford’s visit also kicks off the library’s new exhibit,” Prime Time Presidents,” which features documents, photographs and video footage of the evolving relationship between television and the nation’s chief executives, from Franklin Roosevelt to Bill Clinton. The exhibit will run from Feb. 16 to Aug. 15.
