U-M School of Social Work, Skillman to host economic forum to improve Detroit neighborhoods

EVENT: An economic forum will convene representatives from the University of Michigan, Skillman Foundation, non-profit groups and residents to discuss community economic development and entrepreneurial ventures in six Detroit neighborhoods: Brightmoor, Northend, Osborn, Cody/Rouge, and Vernor and Chadsey/Condon in Southwest Detroit.

Each of the six communities is expected to create an action plan to implement by June 2008. This forum is the first of four events in a year-long series on economic development (January, March, summer, fall).
