2002 fall student move-in schedule announced
ANN ARBOR—The Housing Information Office and the Office of New Student Programs at the University of Michigan recently confirmed the 2002 Fall Student Move-In dates of Wednesday, Aug. 28 through Friday, Aug. 30. As in previous years, University Housing will convene its Move-In Task Force and Move-In Planning Group, which will implement Housing’s annual staggered move-in program for early arrival, first-year, and returning residents.
The basic 2002 Fall Move-In dates are as follows:
Aug. 27—Markley Hall Early Move-In: First-years and transfers living in Markley Hall (Little, Reeves and Scott Houses only).
Aug. 28—Fall Move-In for First-Year Students: First-year and transfer students living in Alice Lloyd (Angell and Hinsdale Houses), Markley Hall (Elliott, Frost and VanTyne Houses), Helen Newberry, South Quadrangle, and Stockwell Hall.
All students living in Baits Houses, Bursley Hall, Cambridge House, Martha Cook Bldg., East Quadrangle, Fletcher Hall, Henderson House, and Oxford Housing.
Aug. 29—Fall Move-In for First-Year Students: First-year and transfer students living in Betsey Barbour, Couzens Hall, Alice Lloyd (Kleinsteuck and Palmer Houses), Markley Hall (Blagdon, Butler, and Fisher Houses), Mosher-Jordan, and West Quadrangle.
Welcome to Michigan Program begins with New Student Convocation, Hill Auditorium, 7 p.m.
Aug. 30—Fall Move-In for Returning Students: All remaining students move into their residence halls.
Aug. 29-Sept. 2—Welcome to Michigan Program continues.
Sept. 3—Classes begin.
