ANN ARBOR—The Harmonettes and Gentlemen, two a cappella ensembles based at the University of Michigan, will join forces for their second annual fall concert, “Rock the Note,” beginning at 8 p.m. Nov. 2 in Rackham Auditorium.

Tickets for the concert are $5 and are available at the Michigan Union Ticket Office and at the door the night of the concert.

The Harmonettes are U-M’s only all-female a cappella ensemble and a staple of the U-M music scene for more than a decade, presenting a diverse repertoire for audiences of all ages. From current hits such as “Roll to Me” by Del Amitri, to tunes of the 70s and 80s, and a few non-traditional favorites, the Harmonettes demonstrate their musical prowess which is accented by a bit of light-hearted humor added to each performance.

The Gentlemen are one of the newest additions to the U-M a cappella scene with a unique sound by the all-male ensemble. Their repertoire ranges from Van Morrison to Billy Joel and is accented by on-stage antics.
