Midwest School for Women Workers will July 30-Aug. 3
ANN ARBOR—The University of Michigan’s Labor Studies Center will hold its Midwest School for Women Workers July 30-Aug. 3 at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing.
The annual conference will offer skill-building and community-building workshops to anyone interested in improving work-place skills and knowledge of labor issues.
Among the topics addressed will be labor law, basic union skills, contract negotiation skills, labor history, work-place hazards, communication skills, use of the Internet, violence in the work place, human and civil rights in the work place, cultural diversity, retirement issues, and women in leadership positions.
