Washington Post journalists to speak at U-M about multi-part series exploring ‘gun that divides a nation’

EVENT: The Washington Post has examined both the devastation caused by AR-15 rifles as well as its allure for segments of American society in a 14-part series. Two editors and a reporter will speak about their work on “the gun that divides a nation—revered as a modern-day musket; reviled as a tool for mass killers.”
PARTICIPANTS:
Kainaz Amaria, visual editor, oversees immersive, visual-first stories for the Post’s national desk.
Peter Wallsten, series editor, serves as senior national investigations editor.
Silvia Foster-Frau, reporter, is a national investigative reporter who explores the impacts of America’s changing racial, ethnic and cultural demographics.
