Entrepreneur Amir Dan Rubin will talk health care innovation and equity

EVENT: The University of Michigan School of Public Health’s Ahead of the Curve speaker series will feature U-M alum Amir Dan Rubin, who has focused his career on transforming health care.

He will reflect on his pursuit of technology-driven solutions and share insights about the future of health care equity and innovation in this live conversation with U-M School of Public Health Dean F. DuBois Bowman.

Rubin is CEO and founding managing partner of Healthier Capital, a venture capital firm focused on health care innovation. Previously, he was chair and CEO of One Medical, a technology-enabled primary care company that he took public in 2020 and sold to Amazon in 2023. At Amazon, he launched the One Medical membership, a virtual health care add-on to the Amazon Prime membership. He also served as an executive vice president of Fortune 500 UnitedHealth Group’s Optum division.

Rubin holds master’s degrees from the U-M’s Ross School of Business and School of Public Health.
