Public invited to open house at U-M’s Biological Station in Pellston

DATE: 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, July 13

EVENT: The University of Michigan Biological Station is offering visitors the opportunity to tour its historic campus, meet scientists and students, and learn about their research.

Guests will be able to explore campus and meet with UMBS researchers who will be available to discuss their areas of expertise—including the Great Lakes piping plover captive rearing team who has been working for more than 30 years to save the shorebird species—and showcase living organism as well as mammal specimens from the UMBS collection.

Entry is free and open to all.

PLACE: The campus is located at 9133 Biological Road in Pellston, off Riggsville Road, about 20 miles south of the Mackinac Bridge and about 20 miles northwest of Petoskey.
