EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT

EVENT: The University of Michigan Risk Science Center and Health Policy Student Association at the U-M School of Public Health will host a discussion on the health, environmental and policy issues and impact of Michigan Proposal 3. This proposal would amend the Michigan Constitution and require 25 percent of Michigan’s electricity to come from renewable sources by 2025.

Andrew Maynard, professor of environmental health sciences at the School of Public Health and director of the Risk Science Center, will moderate a discussion featuring: James Clift, policy director at the Michigan Environmental Council; Tim Dvonch, U-M assistant professor of environmental health sciences; Jason Geer, small business advocate and chamber partnership manager at the Michigan Chamber of Commerce; Greg Keoleian, professor and director of the Center for Sustainable Systems at the U-M School of Natural Resources and Environment; and physician and former state Sen. Joe Schwarz, a visiting lecturer at the U-M Ford School of Public Policy.
