U-M ‘unconference’ brings together entrepreneurs and investors
EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT
DATE: 3-8 p.m. Feb. 7, 2013
EVENT: The Entrepreneurs Engage “unConference” brings together 250 of the region’s most successful and visionary entrepreneurs and investors for free-wheeling, multisession discussions on ideas and initiatives to improve our region’s ability to create and grow new technology businesses.
The agenda is determined at the event by the participants themselves. This is a continuation of a June 2012 meeting that featured Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder. See video from the last event at www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaKzlRHdy1o.
The Entrepreneurs Engage event is collaboration between U-M Tech Transfer and the Michigan Venture Capital Association to provide opportunities for interactions among highly qualified entrepreneurs and investors. Event partners include Menlo Innovations, A2 Geeks, Tech Brewery, Xconomy, Ann Arbor SPARK, U-M Center for Entrepreneurship, U-M Zell Lurie Institute and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
“Everyone was very pleased with the energy and collaborative creativity from our first Engage unConference last June,” said Ken Nisbet, executive director of U-M Tech Transfer. “The Engage series is another example of how the university and the MVCA are providing leadership to enhance the entrepreneurial resources for the benefit of our region and our state.”
Participation is by invitation only and limited to facilitate productive discussions among our region’s leading entrepreneurs and investors. To apply for an invitation, call (734) 763-0614 or go to www.entrepreneursengage.com.
