U-M Tauber Institute hosts conference on global operations

EVENT: The University of Michigan’s Tauber Institute for Global Operations will bring together international leaders in industry and academia to share, debate and strategize to advance the worldwide practice of operations.

This year’s Global Operations Conference explores the idea of exceeding customer expectations through operations. The conference will examine new ideas and best practices that companies adopt to deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

On Nov. 13, the agenda includes dinner and a keynote address by Pavan Pattada, senior vice president of supply chain at Eaton Corp. On Nov. 14, highlights include a morning keynote by Reuben Slone, senior vice president of supply chain for Walgreen Co., and Jenna Owens, general manager of operations for Google Shopping Express; and a lunch keynote by Rohit Kedia, vice president and head of manufacturing for Infosys.
