Tour of renovated U-M West Quadrangle residence hall

EVENT: A media tour of the of the renovated West Quadrangle residence hall at the University of Michigan, a heritage building of 1,000 residents that first opened in 1939.
The renovation is the first top-to-bottom upgrade of the hall in more than 75 years and includes infrastructure improvements as well as refurbished student rooms and bath facilities. While West Quad’s historic façade and courtyards have been restored, common spaces in the interior have been redesigned, adding new community and study spaces and enhancing accessibility. The building will also be home to The Connector, a new cultural space dedicated to diversity and inclusion.

PLACE: 541 Thompson St., Ann Arbor, on U-M’s Central Campus. The building is at the corner of Thompson and Madison Street.

PARKING: No media parking provided. Use lots at Maynard and Liberty streets.
