Campus sexual assault: challenges, policy, prevention

EVENT: A panel discussion on sexual assault and misconduct on college campuses, particularly how research, awareness, community action and policy intersect around this public health issue.
Panelists will discuss the significance of sexual assault survey research, the role of the U-M Sexual Assault and Prevention Awareness Center, Title IX compliance policies, and student perspectives on the issue of what has been done and what still needs to be accomplished.
Panelists include:
- William Axinn, professor of sociology, research professor at the U-M Institute for Social Research and professor at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy
- Pamela Heatlie, senior associate director of the U-M Office for Institutional Equity
- Holly Rider-Milkovich, senior director of prevention education at EverFi, an educational technology firm, and former director of U-M Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center
- Emma Zorfass, student volunteer for the U-M Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center
