ANN ARBOR—The University of Michigan Business School will present its sixth annual Asian automotive conference beginning at 9 a.m. Nov. 3 at the Dearborn Inn in Dearborn, Mich.

“Asian Autos—After the Crash: Back on Track” will provide automotive industry executives with insights into the world’s fastest-growing auto market, including business opportunities created by Asia’s dramatic recovery from the 1997 financial crisis, the e-commerce revolution in Asia, China’s entry into the World Trade Organization, restructuring in Korea and Japan, and trade liberalization in Southeast Asia.

The all-day conference will feature a keynote address by Rudolph A Schlais Jr., president of General Motors Asia Pacific Ltd., and a luncheon talk by Peter G. Walker, a principal at A.T. Kearney, Singapore. Other industry experts will discuss the latest political and economic reforms, industry restructuring, industrial policy and deregulation, and evolving strategies and operational experiences.
