Doctor who exposed Flint water crisis to speak at U-M

EVENT: The University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability and Literati Bookstore will host a discussion between Mona Hanna-Attisha, author of “What the Eyes Don’t See: A Story of Crisis, Resistance and Hope in an American City,” and Chris Kolb, president of the Michigan Environmental Council.
The discussion will include an audience Q&A. A book-signing will follow. It is free and open to the public, but registration is required: myumi.ch/6wQAk.
Hanna-Attisha is a pediatrician, professor and public health advocate whose research helped expose the Flint water crisis. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from U-M and a medical degree from Michigan State University. She is director of Hurley Medical Center’s Pediatric Residency Program in Flint and a faculty member at MSU’s College of Human Medicine.
