EVENT: The University of Michigan Ford School of Public Policy will host a discussion between Federal Communications Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel and Jack Bernard, U-M’s associate general counsel, on network neutrality as part of its #policytalks series.

From fighting to protect net neutrality to ensuring access to the internet for students caught in the “homework gap,” Rosenworcel has been a consistent champion for connectivity.

In her dissent from the FCC’s May 2018 decision to end net neutrality protections, Rosenworcel wrote, “The FCC is on the wrong side of history, the wrong side of the law, and the wrong side of the American people. It deserves to have its handiwork revisited, re-examined, and ultimately reversed. I raised my voice to fight for internet freedom. I’ll keep raising a ruckus to support net neutrality and I hope others will, too.”

The event is free and open to the public. Reception to follow.
