Engineering researcher receives Excellence in Staff Service Award
ANN ARBOR—Brian N. Johnson, originally from Grand Rapids, was recognized for outstanding service and commitment to the University of Michigan College of Engineering during a recent ceremony.
Dean Stephen W. Director presented Johnson and four other honorees with $1,500 stipends and framed pictures of the College’s Maya Lin Wave Field engraved with citations of appreciation at the Excellence in Staff Service Awards ceremony at Chrysler Center.
Johnson was nominated by his department and then selected by a College-wide committee of staff members. His nominators cited Johnson for making outstanding contributions to the biochemical engineering research performed at the College, as well as effective management of his team’s laboratory. Johnson, a 1992 alumnus of the College of Engineering, has been a research engineer with the College since 1995.
