EVENT: “Consumer Protection in an Age of Uncertainty”

If you’ve ever applied for a mortgage, refinanced a student loan or used an app to pay bills, this free, public conference will have information for you. The two-day event will explore where consumer protection stands for American borrowers and investors today and the outlook for the future.

The conference brings together more than two dozen regulators, researchers, data security and privacy experts, journalists and financial technology experts to consider the legal and regulatory questions raised by today’s ever-shifting landscape.

Keynote speakers include Rich Cordray, founding director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (12:45 p.m. March 21) and Rohit Chopra, commissioner on the Federal Trade Commission (9:15 a.m. March 22).
