EVENT: Five Key Perspectives You Can Learn from Other Professions and Disciplines about Tax Policy.

PLACE: Holiday Inn Capitol, 550 C Street SW, Washington, D.C.

BACKGROUND: Two dozen tax experts from academia, government, business and media will participate in six panel discussions on tax policy. Each panel will address what non-experts in the following areas should know about tax policy and its implications: tax law, tax economics, tax accounting, tax administration, media coverage of tax issues and business perspectives on tax issues.

U.S. Rep. William M. Thomas, R-Calif., chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means, will deliver the keynote luncheon address.
