Mathematics professor Wu to deliver inaugural lecture as the Robert W. and Lynne H. Browne Professor of Mathematics

EVENT: Sijue Wu’s inaugural lecture as the Robert W. and Lynne H. Browne Professor of Mathematics. Her lecture, “Mathematical Analysis of Water Waves,” will focus on recent progress in the understanding of the evolutionary behaviors of surface water waves. Novel points of view that better reveal the nature of the nonlinearity of water wave equations will be introduced and basic ideas and tools will be explained. Future research topics will also be discussed. Free and open to the public.
