U-M Global Operations Conference will focus on future challenges

EVENT: Lean, green operations and globalization vs. localization will be key topics at the University of Michigan’s second annual Global Operations Conference, hosted by U-M’s Tauber Institute for Global Operations and the Operations Management Club at the Ross School of Business.

The one-day event will feature talks and panel discussions with a dozen top-level speakers from industry and academia, including Dave Clark, director of Amazon’s Worldwide Customer Excellence System; Timothy Manganello, CEO and chairman of BorgWarner; and David Simchi-Levi, professor and INFORMS Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

MBA and graduate engineering students will compete in an international case competition, sponsored by PRTM Management Consultants, and a career networking session will bring together students and corporate professionals to discuss career paths and industry trends.
