Harvard author will discuss debt crisis at ISR lecture

Jeffry Frieden, Stanfield Professor of International Peace at Harvard UniversityEVENT: Jeffry Frieden, Stanfield Professor of International Peace at Harvard University, speaks on “The Current Crisis: Analysis and Implications” at the 2011 Harold Jacobson Lecture at the University of Michigan Institute for Social Research (ISR).

Frieden, who specializes in the politics of international monetary and financial relations, is the author (with Menzie Chinn) of the forthcoming book “Lost Decades: The Making of America’s Debt Crisis and the Long Recovery.” He also is the author of “Global Capitalism: Its Fall and Rise in the Twentieth Century.”

The lecture is an annual event to honor Harold “Jake” Jacobson’s contribution to the ISR Center for Political Studies and to the study of international organization and law, foreign policy and the environment.
