Acclaimed writer to visit campus
ANN ARBOR—Pulitzer Prize-winning author Richard Ford will read from his works Friday (Oct. 1) at 5 p.m. in the Rackham Amphitheater on the University of Michigan Central Campus.
His novel “Independence Day” is the only novel in history honored with the Pulitzer as well as the PEN/Faulkner Award. In addition, his contribution to “the short story as an art form” was honored in 1994 by the annual Rea Award.
Ford has taught writing at Michigan as well as Princeton University, Williams College, and Northwestern University.
