The University of Michigan will hold a news conference
with former President Gerald R. Ford at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Kuenzel Room in the Michigan Union to address the
renaming of the University of Michigan School of Public
Policy to the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.
The news conference will take place at the U-M Board of
Regents meeting, which begins at 2 p.m. In addition to
President Ford, U-M President Lee C. Bollinger, U-M
Provost Nancy E. Cantor and Rebecca M. Blank, dean of the U-M School of Public Policy, will be available to answer
questions.
The U.S. Secret Service requests that broadcast and
photo media planning to attend must have equipment set up by 12:30 p.m. in order to meet security requirements. A
microphone-level sound distribution box and lighting will be provided. Media identification is required.
