Surveys of Consumers director to hold dial-in press conference
University of Michigan economist Richard T. Curtin, director of the monthly Surveys of Consumers conducted by the U-M Institute for Social Research, will hold a dial-in news briefing on Friday (Oct. 26) at 2 p.m. EDT, to discuss new findings from the October 2001 surveys. The data include the Index of Consumer Sentiment and the Index of Consumer Expectations, a closely watched component of the Index of Leading Economic Indicators.

Established in 1948, the Institute for Social Research (ISR) is among the world’s oldest survey research organizations, and a world leader in the development and application of social science methodology.
