BACKGROUND: Panelists include: Gerard Depayre, deputy head of the European Commission to the United States; Alejandro Jara, Chilean ambassador to the WTO; Alberto Trejos, minister of trade for Costa Rica; Alan Deardorff, research fellow at the William Davidson Institute (WDI) and U-M professor of international economics and public policy; and Katherine Terrell, WDI researcher and U-M professor of business and public policy.
