CNN’s Sanjay Gupta to discuss public health communications in U-M virtual event

EVENT: “Ahead of the Curve featuring Dr. Sanjay Gupta”
The University of Michigan School of Public Health will host a virtual conversation with Sanjay Gupta, chief medical correspondent for CNN and practicing neurosurgeon. The discussion will focus on the importance of health communication.
Gupta has covered some of the biggest health stories in the U.S. and around the world for CNN, from 9/11 and the war in Afghanistan to Hurricane Katrina and, most recently, the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to his work for CNN, he is an associate professor of neurosurgery at Emory University Hospital and associate chief of neurosurgery at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
Gupta received both his bachelor’s degree and Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Michigan.
This 60-minute conversation will be hosted by F. DuBois Bowman, dean of the U-M School of Public Health.
