Digital Library features African American poets in database
ANN ARBOR—The University of Michigan’s Digital Library Production Service has made available a Database of Twentieth Century African American Poetry at http://www.hti.umich.edu/d/daap20/.
This database of modern and contemporary African American poetry includes collected poems and individual volumes from the major movements and schools of 20th century African American poetry. The selections range from 1902 to the present and include such authors as Langston Hughes, Yusef Komunyakaa, Sherley Anne Williams and Rita Dove.
Besides the poems, the collection includes a series of author biographies. A list of authors with links to the biographies can be found at http://www.hti.umich.edu/d/daap20/daap20auth.html.
