ANN ARBOR—Kevin O’Connor, chief executive officer and co-founder of DoubleClick, will be the keynote speaker at the Spring graduation exercises of the University of Michigan College of Engineering. The exercises, to be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
O’Connor is charged with overseeing the strategic direction and overall vision of the company he helped to found. He has amassed more than 16 years of experience in business and consumer software product development, specifically in start-up software technology for both the Internet and publishing markets. Prior to establishing DoubleClick in 1996, he co-founded the Internet Advertising Network (IAN). The software technology pioneered by IAN paved the way for the creation of DoubleClick and the world’s first full-service Web advertising network.

O’Connor received his B.S.E. degree in electrical engineering from the U-M in 1983.

Joining O’Connor on the dais at the graduation exercises will be five U-M student speakers: Jon Malkovich, the senior class president; Stephanie Ongena and Tara Radcliffe, co-chairs of the Engineering Graduation Committee; and student representatives Branton Cole and Maureen Hindelang.

More than 1,000 graduate and undergraduate students will be recognized for their academic achievements at this event.
