DPS open house
ANN ARBOR—The University of Michigan Department of Public Safety(DPS) is planning an open house for all members of the University community on Friday (Oct. 23) between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The open house will feature tours of the Campus Safety Services Building, crime prevention and awareness displays, and information about various safety issues. The police cruisers and mountain bikes will also be on display.
Members of the public are invited to meet DPS officers and receive a guided tour of the Communications Center, Briefing Room, Patrol Division, Detective Bureau, and the Special Operations Division. DPS Community Oriented Police Officers will be available to meet visitors and answer questions.
The open house will be held at the Campus Safety Services Building, located at 1239 Kipke Drive, across from Crisler Arena. There will be free parking for anyone driving to the open house, and during the hours of the open house. The University commuter buses will also make a stop at the commuter lot adjacent to the Department for those taking the bus.
