Faculty appointments approved by U-M Regents
ANN ARBOR—Faculty appointments, with tenure, approved by the University of Michigan Regents at their April 17-18 meeting included:
Patricia M. Dechow, a faculty member at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, will be associate professor of accounting at U-M, effectiveSept. 1.
James R. Hines Jr., a faculty member at Harvard University, will be associate professor of business economics at U-M, effective Sept. 1.
Richard G. Sloan, a faculty member at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, will be associate professor of accounting at U-M, effectiveSept. 1.
Walter N. Torous, a faculty member at the University of California at Los Angeles, will be professor of finance at U-M, effective Sept. 1.
Amid I. Ismail, a faculty member at Dalhousie University, Canada, will be professor of dentistry at U-M, effective June 1.
