ANN ARBOR—Information about the Health and Retirement Study (HRS), conducted by the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research, is now accessible through a World Wide Web page on the Internet.

The HRS home page provides access to data, news, publications, and other sites connected with the study, a survey of nearly 13,000 people in their 50s and early 60s designed to paint a comprehensive portrait of an aging America.

Complete with eye-catching graphics, the HRS Internet site tracks the results of the study, funded by the National Institute on Aging and co-directed by ISR research scientists F. Thomas Juster and Robert Willis.

Among the data available through the page are the agenda for the 2nd Wave HRS Early Results workshop, and the status of the AHEAD study which explores Asset and Health Dynamics Among the Oldest Old. The Web page also includes a fact sheet from the National Institute on Aging and points to reference materials from the study’s research groups.
