Media invited to attend U-M Sport Business Conference

EVENT: The inaugural University of Michigan Sport Business Conference brings together a diverse group of sports industry professionals, including Ross School of Business namesake Stephen M. Ross, owner of the Miami Dolphins and founder and CEO of The Related Companies.

Organized by undergraduate students from the Ross School and U-M’s School of Kinesiology, the event brings together leading branding and media industry executives under the theme, “The Changing Faces of Sport.” Panels will explore the changing revenue model of college sports, as well as issues related to media, branding and personalities, and advertising and sponsorship.

Ross will participate in a panel moderated by ESPN announcer Mike Tirico. Other panelists include former NFL/U-M linebacker and television personality Dhani Jones, ESPN reporter Darren Rovell, Fox Sports COO Larry Jones, Big Ten Network president Mark Silverman, CBS Sports executive vice president David Berson and U-M athletic director David Brandon.

Rohan Oza, the former chief marketing officer of Energy Brands Inc.’s vitaminwater, will deliver a keynote address.
