MNRS’ first Lifetime Achievement Award to Ada Sue Hinshaw

ANN ARBOR—Ada Sue Hinshaw, dean of the University of Michigan School of Nursing, will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Midwest Nursing Research Society on Sunday (March 4).

Hinshaw was chosen for the award out of more than 1,400 MNRS members. She is recognized for her noteworthy contributions to the nursing profession and for promoting the advancement of the field through research.

“I am pleased to be honored by my colleagues as I receive this award. It has been my great privilege to have worked with exciting, talented faculty and colleagues over the years. I’m happy to be the point person on this occasion in recognition of our work together,” said Hinshaw. She is the first person to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award through this organization.

The Midwest Nursing Research Society is a premier nursing organization that supports, encourages and improves the quality of nursing research throughout the Midwest.

This year’s annual conference runs March 2-5 in Cleveland, Ohio.
