NYU President to deliver Father Gabriel Richard Lecture

EVENT: John Sexton, president and professor of law, New York University will deliver the Father Gabriel Richard Lecture at the University of Michigan. He will discuss “The Moral Imperative of Higher Education in the Ecumenical Century.” The event is open to the public.

Sexton is the 15th and current president of New York University. As the Benjamin Butler Professor of Law and NYU Law School’s dean emeritus, Sexton teaches at least a full faculty schedule. This year, he is teaching four classes.

He is an author of the nation’s leading casebook on “Civil Procedure.” He also wrote “Redefining the Supreme Court’s Role: A Theory of Managing the Federal Court System,” in addition to several other books, numerous chapters, articles and Supreme Court briefs.
