ANN ARBOR—The University of Michigan’s School of Art and Design will present Marilyn Zimmerman in its continuing lecture series, “Photo-Active Feminist Artists.” Zimmerman’s presentation will be Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. in Room 2104 of the Art and Architecture Building on U-M’s North Campus. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Zimmerman’s photographic projects have documented Woodward Avenue in Detroit, and addressed issues relating to the construction of gender. She fought a successful battle against censors when her home and Wayne State University office were raided by police for photographing her daughter.
