Presidents to testify before state Senate panel Friday

EVENT: The presidents of the University of Michigan, Michigan State University and Wayne State University, representing Michigan’s University Research Corridor, will testify before a state Senate panel convening at U-M Friday.
U-M President Mary Sue Coleman, MSU President Lou Anna Simon and WSU President Jay Noren will testify before the state Senate Appropriations Higher Education Subcommittee chaired by Sen. Tony Stamas, R-Midland and answer questions from senators. The URC will also be represented by economic development officials as well as students representing the three universities.
The committee will also hear testimony from University of Michigan-Dearborn Chancellor Dan Little and Mike Boulus, executive director of the Presidents Council, State Universities of Michigan.
