Prof. Sally Lusk joins a federal grant review committee

University of Michigan School of Nursing Prof. Sally Lusk has been named to a committee of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that reviews grant applications submitted to the National Institutes of Health.

Lusk is an award-winning nurse scientist whose current research interests focus on the prevention of noise-induced hearing loss; noise effects on cardiovascular and stress-related diseases; and preventing noise-induced hearing loss in construction workers.

As a member of the Nursing Research Study Section, Center for Scientific Review, Lusk will make grant recommendations to an NIH national advisory council or board.

Committee members are chosen by the quality and accomplishments of their research, publications in scientific journals and other significant scientific activities, achievements and honors. Lusk was appointed to the committee in (A-3)
