The United Nations will hold the conference in South Africa in August 2001. The conference will bring together victims of racism, racial discrimination, and xenophobia from around the world. Goal of the WCAR is not only to look at the effects of racism, but also to offer viable solutions for ending it.

The event at the U-M is co-sponsored by the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. Refreshments will be served.
