“Good Morning America’s” Charles Gibson to speak on campus
ANN ARBOR—Charles Gibson, co-host of ABC‘s ” Good Morning America,” will speak at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 2 at the University of Michigan’s Rackham Amphitheater as part of a campus presentation series designed to explore ways in which the U-M can meet the changing needs of society.
The series, ” Changing in a World of Change: The University and its Publics,” will provide a variety of perspectives on some of the major changes taking place in society and suggest ways in which those changes affect the U-M and the definition of its mission.
The series is sponsored by the U-M’s Office of the President and faculty Senate Assembly.
In addition to Gibson, other speakers in the series include: Harold T. Shapiro, president, Princeton University, 4:30 p.m. Oct. 23, Rackham Amphitheater; Mary Good, deputy secretary for technology, U.S. Department of Commerce, 4 p.m. Nov. 13, Chrysler Auditorium on North Campus; and Frank Popoff, CEO, Dow Chemical Co., 4:30 p.m. Dec. 4, Rackham Amphitheater.
Good’s presentation is also sponsored by the U-M Office of the Vice President for Research.
