Administrative appointments approved by the University of Michigan Regents at their Jan. 21 meeting included:

Steven A. Goldstein, assistant dean for research and graduate studies at the Medical School, will serve as interim associate dean for research and graduate studies, effective Jan. 1. He also is professor of surgery, the Henry Ruppenthal Family Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Bioengineering, professor of biomedical engineering, and professor of mechanical engineering.

Henry D. Baier, interim associate vice president for business operations at U-M, will serve as associate vice president for facilities and operations, effective Jan. 22.
