Terese M. Olson, a faculty member at the University of California, Irvine, will be associate professor of civil and environmental engineering at U-M, effective Jan. 1.

Tresa M. Pollock, a faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University, will be professor of materials science and engineering at U-M, effective Jan. 1.
