Regents approve tenure appointments

ANN ARBOR—Faculty appointments, with tenure, approved by the University of Michigan Regents at their June 15-16 meeting included:

Reuven S. Avi-Yonah, a faculty member at Harvard Law School, will be professor of law at U-M, effective Sept. 1.

Bruce A. Mueller, a faculty member at the Purdue University School of Pharmacy, will be professor of pharmacy and chair of the Department of Clinical Sciences at the College of Pharmacy, effective July 1.

Edward A. Silver, a faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh, will be professor of education at U-M, effective June 1.

Christopher M. Skinner, from the School of Mathematics at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton, will be associate professor of mathematics at U-M, effective Sept. 1.
