Regents to meet Thursday and Friday (July 17-18)
ANN ARBOR—University of Michigan Regents will begin their monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. Thursday (July 17) in the Regents’ Room, Fleming Administration Building.
Following U-M President Lee C. Bollinger’s general remarks, the Regents will discuss the 1997-98 Department of Athletics budget, the 1997-98 U-M Health System’s Clinical Delivery System operating budget, the 1997-98 U-M operating budgets and student fee rates, and the 1997-98 University Health Service fee.
At 4 p.m. the Regents will hold their monthly public comments session. University members and others may, by making prior arrangements, address their comments to the Regents.
On Friday (July 18) the Regents will continue their meeting at 9:30 a.m. in the Regents’ Room. A presentation on “Research and Undergraduate Education: A Michigan Tradition” will be made by Frederick C. Neidhardt, U-M acting vice president for research.
Other agenda items will include faculty appointments and status changes; construction and renovation projects; financial items; and matters related to the U-M-Dearborn and U-M-Flint.
