Reps from 10 nations to discuss foreign policy challenges

DATE: Oct. 21-24, 2004

EVENT: More than 35 scholars, diplomats and conflict negotiators from more than 10 countries will gather at the University of Michigan to discuss foreign policy problems related to Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia with special emphasis on Nagorno Karabakh.

The group will include representatives from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Russia, Iran, Europe, Canada and the United States. The theme is "Armenia/the South Caucasus and Foreign Policy Challenges."

The conference is organized by Gerard Libaridian, the Alex Manoogian Visiting Professor of Modern Armenian History in the U-M Department of History.
