Greta manages the university’s award-winning state impact multimedia series, state and Detroit media relations, and communications efforts around the University of Michigan Center for Innovation in Detroit. She also produces the university’s Michigan Minds podcast, featuring top faculty. Greta joined the University of Michigan in 2012 after a 20-plus year journalism career that included writing and editing posts at the Detroit Free Press, the Macomb Daily, the Associated Press and The Bay City Times. A series of her stories chronicling Detroit’s foreclosure and real estate crises won a Society of American Business Editors and Writers Best in Business award in 2010.
