Turn your imagination loose at Theatre Department Halloween Sale
ANN ARBOR—From hooded black robes to the clothes of a beggar plying the streets of Paris during the French Revolution, the University of Michigan Theatre Department’s Costume Shop will have some of the coolest rags you’ll ever see at its Halloween Sale Oct. 2-4 in the Frieze Scene Shop. The shop, located in Room 1530 of the Frieze Building at Huron and State streets, will be open 3-9 p.m. Oct. 2-3, and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 4.
Shoes, hats, wigs, dance costumes, shirts, and dresses are just some of the rags up for grabs. Those beggar outfits are from Robert Altman’s 1982 production of “The Rake’s Progress.” The black robes are from a University Productions rendition of “Falstaff.” One costume comes complete with its own wings. Items are available from 50 cents to about $30.
