U-M budget officials to brief media on proposed FY2013 general fund budget

WHAT: An embargoed media briefing on the general fund budget proposal for the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor campus. Information is embargoed until presented at the public session of the U-M Board of Regents meeting.

WHEN: 2-2:45 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012.

WHERE: Office of Public Affairs, first floor of the Fleming Administration Building, 503 Thompson St., Ann Arbor.

WHO: U-M Provost Phil Hanlon, the university’s chief academic and chief budget officer; Martha Pollack, vice provost for academic and budgetary affairs.

DESCRIPTION: Hanlon and Pollack will outline the general fund budget proposal for FY2013 and answer questions. All information is embargoed until discussed during the public session of the Board of Regents.

MATERIALS: Copies of materials are available at the briefing and reporters are welcome to review the embargoed materials starting at 1:30 p.m.

BOARD OF REGENTS MEETING: The Board of Regents meeting immediately follows the briefing in the Michigan Union Ballroom, a short walk away from the Fleming Building. There will be reserved media seating for those attending the briefing.
