U-M conference will feature national and state economic forecasts

EVENT: University of Michigan’s 55th annual Economic Outlook Conference.
Saul Hymans, U-M emeritus professor of economics and director of the Research Seminar in Quantitative Economics (RSQE) will open the conference with “The U.S. Economic Outlook for 2008-2009” at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 15. Richard Curtin, director of the Surveys of Consumers at the U-M Institute for Social Research, will follow with “The Consumer Outlook for 2008” at 11 a.m.
At 9:30 a.m. Nov. 16, U-M economists George Fulton and Joan Crary will present “The 2008-2009 Outlook for the Michigan Economy.”

- “The Subprime Mortgage Mess and Its Implications” panel discussion featuring David Berson of Fannie Mae, Dennis Capozza of the U-M Ross School of Business and Peter Hooper of Deutsche Bank Securities.
